Jessica Kühn studied Communication Studies and Sociology at LMU Munich from 2013 to 2019, including a semester abroad at Fudan University in Shanghai. She completed her master's degree in March 2019 with a thesis titled “Between Stimulation and Manipulation – The Influence of News Factors and Formal Stylistic Devices on News Selection on Facebook.” After graduation, she worked as a research associate at the Chair of Prof. Brosius and has been part of the research and teaching team of Prof. Reinemann since 2020.
She serves as internship coordinator (September 2021 to March 2023) and international coordinator (July 2019 to September 2020, and again since March 2024) at the Department of Media and Communication (IfKW). Since 2020, she has also been the mid-level faculty representative for the Media Pedagogy Division of the German Communication Association (DGPuK).
Currently, she is a researcher in the DFG-funded project “Norms of Visual Self-Presentation in Adolescents' Identity Development (NoViS)”.
